Our 2nd Annual Earth Day Sustainability Swap was a success! About 70 people joined us at Christ Episcopal Church in Dearborn to network around sustainability, gardening and environmental justice. Organizations that provided information included Planet Detroit, EcoWorks Detroit, Make Food Not Waste, University of Michigan-Dearborn’s  Environmental Interpretive Center, and Henry Ford Colleges’ Student Environmental Association. Local businesses such as Detroit Book City and Midtown Composting participated and Southend Dearborn advocates (Sue Stanley, Samra’a Luqman and Salah Ali) spoke about their activism. We also had free Who Gives a Crap sustainable toilet paper rolls and a seed and plant swap.
